The making-of / Morphic Studio
One carriage.
A whole story.
The camera follows a man onto a train. He sits, looks, then freezes. Only when the camera follows his gaze do we discover the other passengers. A second look through the window changes the meaning of everything.
01 / Ideation
Start with
the feeling.
The story rests on two emotional beats: shock when he discovers the dead passengers, then defeated recognition when he sees his own body outside. The camera moves because his attention moves.
Morphic’s Copilot gives me a place to develop the idea, keep a script beside the references and refine the generation brief. The canvas keeps those decisions together, so I can revisit the work without starting from scratch.

Give him
an identity.
A charcoal coat, a red knitted scarf and a battered suitcase make the passenger recognisable at a glance. The character sheet carries those choices across angles; the opening frame establishes the door, materials and lighting.
The look stays visibly animated: sculpted hair, expressive faces and painted textures, with warm carriage lamps against the cool platform. Each reference has a job. The first frame fixes the opening; the character sheet fixes who we are following.

Draw the space.
Then the move.
The overhead map is the anchor. He enters on the left, crosses the vestibule and sits on the right. His window faces the tracks and the opposite platform. The red line marks his walking route.
I use Seedance 2.5 within Morphic with three references: first frame, character sheet and map. The map guides geography rather than becoming a shot. The prompt follows a backward track, a jib to his face, a smooth reveal of two dressed skeletons, then a return to him and the window.
The important pause is simple: look, beat, shock, then camera move. At the end, his quiet acceptance leads into the skull’s eye socket and back to the opening door.

04 / Compose
Bring it together.
Make the join count.
Compose is Morphic’s built-in multitrack editor. It sits alongside Canvas and Copilot in the same file, so the idea, references, generations and edit can stay in one place.
Move the chosen generation onto the timeline, refine the timing, shape the sound and check the return from the eye socket to the door. Compose supports manual editing and Copilot-assisted changes, then export for the final playback check.
That is the appeal of an all-in-one workflow: more time on the hook, performance and reveal, with fewer handoffs between tools. The loop gives the story a reason to watch again.
